《舒卜拉的埃及舞者》:舞动的艺格符换诗 被引量:1

“Egyptian Dancer at Shubra”:A Dancing Ekphrasitic Poem

摘要 英国现代诗人伯纳德·斯宾塞的诗作《舒卜拉的埃及舞者》通过多元视角的转换,透视埃及东方舞背后的文化寓意:作为埃及传统文化与西方殖民主义、帝国主义相杂糅的商业化产物,东方舞成为埃及现代城市书写的文化表征。本文借助跨艺术诗学的批评理论,探讨斯宾塞如何通过舞蹈与诗歌之间的"艺格符换",即两种艺术媒介间的转化与融合,在诗歌中吸纳埃及东方舞的精髓与时代精神,立体呈现了20世纪上半叶埃及现代化、城市化进程中的日常生活场景和独特的城市文化景观,从而超越了萨义德所批判的"东方主义"樊篱。 Bernard Spencer became an outstanding Cairo poet thanks to his selfimposed exile in Egypt. His poem "Egyptian Dancer at Shubra" is a multi-perspective verbal representation of an Oriental Dance show at Shubra, revealing the cultural implications embodied in the Egyptian Oriental Dance. A hybrid of traditional Egyptian culture and Western imperialism as well as commercialism, the poem properly emblemizes Egyptian modernity and urbanization. With the help of inter-art poetics, this paper intends to explore the ekphrasis of Spencer's poetics, the transformation and fusion of poetry and dance by which the poem absorbs the art and the spirit of Oriental Dance to untold a picture ot Egypt's dally life and its unique cultural landscape in the course of modernization and urbanization in the early 20th century, thus transcending the Orientalist boundary criticized by Edward Said.
