翻译职业的演变与影响探析

On Translation and Interpreting Profession's Evolvement and Its Impact

在大数据时代背景下,人工智能的迅猛发展和全球化进程的不断加快使一些职业与行业的内涵变得更丰富,也改变人们对其传统的认识。技术与行业管理等方面的发展正在改变翻译的传统定义,使这一古老的职业随着时代的变化而衍生出新的含义。笔者从《中华人民共和国职业分类大典》的修订入手,阐述翻译职业的变化,从国家战略规划、行业发展、国外经验等方面讨论翻译职业演变背后的原因,并思考翻译职业的重新定位对业界、教育界和学界所产生的辐射作用。最后对翻译职业未来的发展方向做出展望。

In the era of big data, the development of artificial intelligence and acceleration of globalization change the outdated understanding of certain professions and industries, and also enrich the connotation of them. Progress of technology and translation in- dustry regulation helps to redefine translation, thus this old profession acquires new meaning over time. This paper analyzes the modification of the item ＂translation＂ in Occupational Classification of the People＇s Republic of China to see the major changes be- tween the first and revised versions, and discusses reasons from the perspective of national strategies, language service industry and experience from other countries. Then the impacts of this evolvement and the prospect of translation and interpreting profession are also discussed.
