The Structure of Ethics in the Spring and Autumn Period

整个春秋时代的伦理道德结构可从三个方面理解:其一,从天下体系看,尊礼重信是此时诸侯交往的基本伦理规范。其二,从家国结构看,孝、忠、义是此时家国公私的核心伦理道德,具体言之:孝是宗法制的核心伦理,忠是封建制的核心伦理,义则是两者之外的必要补充,体现了更多的开放性和公共性。其三,从个体美德看,智、仁、勇等是此时贵族最为推崇的道德品质,它们体现了道德主体的优秀和卓越。

Rites is a comprehensive ethics in the Spring and Autumn Period. Its structure can be understood from three perspectives. Firstly, from the world perspective, rites and honesty are the basic communicative ethics among the dukes. Secondly, from the structure of the patriarchal feudal society, filial piety is the core ethics of patriarchy, and loyalty is the core ethics of feudal system, as well as justice is a supplementary ethics besides the above two. Thirdly, from the perspective of individual virtues, wisdom, humanity and courage are to be hold the best character traits of aristocrats.
