摘要
中国学生的批判性思维常常受到质疑。文章通过对在英国留学一年后的中国留学生的研究,分析是否比国内研究生具备更好的批判性思维能力,是否两者在批判性思维方面有差异。研究发现在英研究生比国内研究生展现出更好的批判性思维能力,体现在对批判性思维的认知,对批判性思维的涉及,对批判性思维的自我评价等方面。同时指出,中国学生的批判性思维在经过恰当的指导和实践后,是可以有效提高的。
Chinese students are frequently criticised as unsatisfactory critical thinkers. This research is designed to investigate the critical thinking of Chinese international postgraduate students in the UK in comparison with their counterparts in China. It aims to examine whether the postgraduates in the UK have better critical thinking skills than those in China after one - year period of postgraduate stud- y, and whether there are differences between the two groups. It is found that the postgraduates in UK universities do perform better critical thinking skills than their peers in China and there are clear differences discovered between them, which are reflected in their under- standing of critical thinking, the involvement of critical thinking during respective postgraduate study and their self - evaluation of critical thinking after one year's study. It is also proved that Chinese students' critical thinking can be positively influenced after studying in the UK with appropriate instruction and opportunities for application.
