Change of Industrial Structure,Regional Marketization Level and Energy Consumption

基于中国2000~2013年的省际面板数据,以第三产业与第二产业产值之比度量产业结构变动,在将地区市场化水平纳入分析框架的前提下,采用门槛回归分析方法,对产业结构变动与能源消费之间的关系进行实证考察。结果表明,产业结构变动对能源消费存在显著的基于地区市场化水平的"双门槛效应",即产业结构变动与能源消费之间存在显著的非线性关系,随着地区市场化水平的提高,产业结构变动对降低能源消费的作用越来越大。

Based on Chinese provincial panel data from 2000 to 2013, this paper measured the industrial structure change withthe ratio of the third industry and secondary industry output value. Under the premise of taking the regional marketization levelinto the analysis framework, it used the threshold regression analysis method to make empirical research about the relationshipbetween the change of industrial structure and energy consumption. The results showed that, the effect of the industrial struc-ture changed on the energy consumption lies in the ＂double threshold effect＂ of the marketization level, it meant that there wassignificant nonlinear relationship between the industrial structure change and energy consumption, and with the improvement ofregional marketization level, the effect of the industrial structure change to reduce energy consumption gets greater.
