我国在近10a开展了大量的监测预警工作,并有所收获,出台了《关于联合开展地质灾害气象预警预报工作协议》等协议试图减少因为地质灾害所带来的经济影响。但成功预警率并不是很理想,这一方面表现在成功预警实例中专业预警所占比例过低,另一方面表现在发生的大量的地质灾害在已有的预警点之外,而解决这一问题的方法是是将区域上的滑坡发育规律进行分析,找到可以将隐患点区别技术方法,以及引进风险管理的概念,进行监测资源的合理分配和有效预警。
