This paper introduced principle and situation of the layout of the risk of soil environmental quality monito-ring in key areas of Hunan Province. Hunan Province, the key areas of soil environmental quality risk point includes some places such as the surrounding of pollution industry enterprises, solid waste centralized disposal site, mining ar- ea, the scale of livestock and poultry farms, historical pollution area, the centralized water source of drinking water and planting base of Fruit and vegetable. Eventually the seven areas constitute 954 points, basically representing the requirements of a period of time on spatial distribution, risk status and changing trend of soil pollution in key areas of Hunan province.
