“纯文学”与中国文学批评史观——重估郭绍虞、朱自清、钱钟书在1930年代的学术论衡

“Pure Literature” and View of Chinese Literary Criticism——Re-evaluation of Literary Views from Guo Shao-yu,Zhu Zi-qing and Qian Zhong-shu in the 1930s

在考辨"西学东渐"背景下,中国学术界应对西学(方法)与中国经验(对象)最靠谱的方案是从学术史遴选典型公案。由此观之,郭绍虞、朱自清、钱钟书三位大家在1930年代围绕"‘纯文学’与中国文学批评史"这一公案所呈示的专业角色、思维路径与学识视野,不啻为一出精彩的学术史剧,即把"西学与中国经验的关系"这一命题史案化了。其中,"纯文学"对应"西学(方法)","中国文学批评史"对应"中国经验(对象)",于是,郭、朱、钱三人各自安顿"‘纯文学’与中国文学批评史"关系时的学术论衡,在某种程度上成为中国学术界百年来何以回应"西学东渐"的历史隐喻。

In the background of Western learning spreading to the East, the reliable way is to choose ex- amples from academic history, from which Guo Shao - yu, Zhu Zi - qing and Qian Zhong - shu in the 1930s are chosen to discuss their views of ＂pure literature＂ and history of Chinese literary criticism. Their professional views, path of thought and academic knowledge can form an excellent academic histo- ry. ＂Pure literature＂ is to Western learning （way） , and ＂Chinese literary history＂ to Chinese experience （object）, so in some degree their discussions have become a historical metaphor of Chinese academic community for one hundred years.
