目前,全国约有90所进行珠宝学历教育的学校,湖南暂无系统开设宝玉石类专业的院校。本文以优化区域专业设置,开发特色专业,实事求坐实调研为原则,立足于湖南及珠三角地区的一些代表性的珠宝类企事业单位,相关行业协会及相关院校,开展了宝玉石鉴定与加工专业的人才需求的现场调研,并对调研信息数据进行了综合统计和分析,认为省内宝玉石鉴定与加工专业人才需求量大,迫切需要在湖南开设宝玉石鉴定与加工专业,为区域珠宝产业的转型发展提供专业人才储备和支持。

At present, there are about 90 schools of the jewelry education in other provinces except Hunan. On the basis of the site survey in some jewelry enterprises and institutions in Hunan and Pearl River Delta, and combined the talent demand analysis on gem identification and processing technique, it is considered that a large number of gem professional talents are urgently needed. It is good time to open related majors in Hunan to provide professional support for the transformation and development of regional jewelry industry.
