数字环境下大学图书馆的空间变革与服务转型——以美国布朗大学图书馆为例

Research of University Library's Space Reform and Service Transformation under Digital Environment——A Case Study of Brown University Library

文章调研北美地区大学图书馆数字学术中心(CDS)发展概况,指出其是大学图书馆应对数字环境变化而诞生的新兴服务模式。采用典型案例分析法,以美国布朗大学图书馆CDS为个案,综合分析该馆如何集空间变革与服务转型于一体,在数字学术、研究支持和服务创新等方面的前瞻性。CDS是大学图书馆适应时代变革的产物,对我国大学图书馆空间变革和服务转型具有借鉴价值。

Research analysis of university library＇s center for digital scholarship （CDS） development in North America is conducted in this paper. It is regarded as an emerging service mode for university library to deal with the changing digital environment. By method of typical case analysis, the paper takes Brown University Library＇s CDS as a case, comprehensively analyzing how it integrate space reform and service transformation, as well as its forward thinking in digital academic, research support and service innovation, etc. CDS will become the most creative and innovative service institution of university library in the future. It is not only the product of the library＇s adapting to the changes of age, but also brings a certain enlightening significance to university library＇s space reform and service transformation in China.
