长江中游城市群城镇化水平区域差异综合评价

Comprehensive Evaluation on Regional Difference of Urbanization Level in the Middle Reaches of Yangtze River

城市群建设是推进城镇化快速发展的重要动力,城市群经济是区域经济发展的重要增长极。长江中游城市群因其区位优势独特、人力资源充足,从而成为我国推行新型城镇化后首个跨区域的重点开发地区。为了研究长江中游城市群城镇化水平发展情况和区域差异,探究产生差异的原因,从社会发展、经济发展、生活质量、基础设施、生态环境和城乡统筹六个方面构建指标体系,运用主成分分析法对长江中游城市群城镇化水平进行综合评价,发现:长江中游城市群各市城镇化水平差距较大,综合得分最高的是武汉市,整体城镇化水平发展最好的是环长株潭城市群,大型城市相较于中小城市在社会发展和经济发展方面更占优势;各地城镇化水平的空间分布呈现出各城市群里省中心较高、边缘地区较低的结构状况。

City clustering is one of the main driving forces behind rapid urban development, Economic agglomeration serve as a crucial growth pole for regional economy. The city clusters along the middle reaches of Yangtze River, due to the unique location advantage and rich human resources, have become the first trans-regional key development zone since the ＂new type＂ urbanization initiative. In this paper we study the regional differences in urbanization development level in these city clusters and probe into the causes behind. We construct indicator systems on social and economic development level, quality of life, infrastructure level, ecological environment and urban-rural integration level, from which we apply principle component analysis to perform comprehensive evaluation on the urbanization levels. Our findings suggests that these city clusters have dissimilar modernization levels, among which Wuhan has the highest overall score and the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan City Cluster has the best aggregate modernization level. In addition, larger cities have advantages over smaller ones in social and economic development aspect. From the perspective of spatial distribution, the modernization levels are highest around the province center of city clusters and gradually decrease as we move further away from the centers.
