摘要 This paper reports the growth and spectral assessments of Yb^(3+) ion doped MgMoO_4(Yb^(3+):MgMoO_4) crystal grown by the TSSG method. Polarized spectral properties of Yb^(3+):MgMoO_4 crystal, including absorption and emission cross-sections, absorption FWHM and fluorescence lifetime, have been investigated. The laser performance parameters bmin, Isat and Iminhave also been evaluated. All the investigated results show the Yb^(3+)-doped MgMoO_4 crystal is expected as a promising candidate for ultrashort pulse and tunable lasers.
