A new improved hydrocarbon recovery （IHR） screening method was described： a large number of different reservoirs are screened through the IHR process; the initial components are generated as well as the agents through the generic modeling and simulation field. This method is a kind of technique which can improve the oil recovery by using the different screening criteria of reservoir rock/fluid properties and technical economy -quantitative selective recovery.
