As a new education instrument, the computer-assisted English teaching is indicating its unique advantages now. And considered as an important link of teaching process, the examination also confronts the problem of being modernized. Long-distance English examinations have many advantages compared with traditional examinations. In this article, we design a long-distance English examination system based on web database according to the characteristics of English examinations. At the same time, we also introduce the exploitation course, the system's function and the key technologies of it.
