CHEN Lai （1952-） is a senior professor in the Department of Philosophy and Dean of the Academy of Chinese Learning at Tsinghua University. He has made great contributions to the study of Confucian philosophy, especially of Neo-Confucianism from the Song to the Qing dynasty, and New-Confucianism in the 20th century.
