介绍了历史上最有影响的牙甲总科的分类系统,Mulsant,d'Orchymont,Hansen,Short&Fikácˇek分类系统。回顾了我国牙甲总科分类历史和分类现状。统计出目前我国牙甲总科昆虫共记录了6科、55属、329种。它是了解我国牙甲科多样性的基础材料。

Mulsant＇s, d＇Orchymont＇s, Hansen＇s, Short ＆ Fikacek＇s synoptic classification of the world hydrophiloid beetles are briefly introduced. History of taxonomy on Hydrophiloidea of China is reviewed. A total of 329 species of hydrophiloid beetles that were designed to 6 families, 55 genera from China have known currently. It is a basic document to known diversity of Chinese hydrophiloid beetles.
