Reconsidering the Classification of Degree Adverbs in Modern Japanese

摘要 本文在对先行研究进行整理和分析的基础上,找出现代日语程度副词分类的问题点,依据"程度""数量""评价"这三个语义特征,将现代日语程度副词分成〈无具体量?客观性强〉〈有具体量?客观性强〉〈无具体量?评价性强〉和〈有具体量?评价性强〉这四种类型。并且,基于"连续性"(continuity)的观点,考察了这四种程度副词间的移行用法,分析得出:〈无具体量?客观性强〉和〈有具体量?客观性强〉类程度副词用法更容易向〈无具体量?评价性强〉和〈有具体量?评价性强〉类程度副词用法产生移行现象,充分体现了"客观—主观"这一"连续性"的特征。 This essay, based on a review and analysis of previous studies, isolates problems concerning the classification of de- gree adverbs in modem Japanese and, in the light of three semantic features which are degree, amount and evaluation, divides those adverbs into four categories: no specific amount and with strong objectivity; with specific amount and strong objectivity; no specific amount and with high evaluation; with specific amount and high evaluation. Further-more, the author explores the usage of division among degree adverbs of the aforesaid four categories in view of continuity and concludes that the usage of degree adverbs within the categories of "no specific amount and with strong objectivity" and "with specific amount and strong objectivity" are more likely to divide into the usage of those within the categories of "no specific amount and with high evalua- tion" and "with specific amount and high evaluation", which fully embodies the continuity feature of "objectivity-subjectivity".
