摘要
多元化经营是保险公司的重要发展战略。本文基于2006—2014年我国财产保险公司数据,通过梳理多元化对公司绩效影响的机理,运用多元回归模型,实证检验了产品多元化和地域多元化对财产保险公司绩效的影响机制。研究结果发现,产品多元化对财险公司的成本费用类绩效影响并不显著,但与总绩效呈显著的U形关系;地域多元化与成本费用类绩效呈显著的U形关系,但是与总绩效并不存在显著的关系。研究认为保险公司多元化经营一定要围绕科学的战略规划,避免"唯保费规模"导致的"成长型破产"。
Diversification is an important strategy for the Chinese insurance industry. Based on the data of China' s property insurance companies from 2006 to 2014, this paeper uses the multiple regression model to test the relation- ships between the diversifications and the performance. The results show that there exists a significant "U" relationship between the product diversification and the total performance, but the relationship is not significant between the prod- uct diversification and the cost performance. There exists a significant "U" type relationship between the geographic and the cost performance, but the relationship between the geographic and the cost performance is not significant. It is con- eluded that the diversification of insurance companies must focus on a scientific strategic plan and avoid the "bankrupt- cy of growth" caused by seeing the "scale of premium as the center".
