It is realistic and urgent to reform the mode of ideological and political education so as to meet the needs of economic and social development. Ideological and political education is facing realistic dilemmas caused by market economy, information and technology development, and economic globalization because of the contradiction between personal values and social values, the change of the essence of ideological and political education, and the lag of educational content. This article brings about new resolution paths that can make political and ideological education compatible with economic and social development, including strengthening the pertinence of ideological and political education, focusing on personality and characteristics of students, applying various forms of modern education.
