Progress in elderly patients with squamous cell lung cancer

肺癌已成为老年癌症患者死亡的主要原因，尽管有关肺腺癌的研究已经取得了很大进展，但是老年人肺鳞状细胞癌的研究则相对滞后。对于局部晚期的老年肺鳞状细胞癌患者的治疗方案仍然存在放化疗模式的争议。各种新型化疗药物、靶向治疗、免疫和抗血管药物的出现，给中晚期老年肺鳞状细胞癌患者带来了新的曙光，其综合治疗的最佳模式，还需更多的研究来验证和探索。

Lung cancer has become the major reason for death from cancer of the elderly. Although a great stride has been made in the research of lung adenocareinoma, the study on squamous cell lung cancer is still lagging behind. Chemoradiotherapy is controversial in elderly patients with locally advanced squamous cell lung cancer. The appearance and application of novel chemotherapy drugs, targeted therapy, immunotherapy and anti-vascular drugs for elderly patients have brought a hope for these patients with locally advanced squamous cell lung cancer. More researches should be designed to verify and explore the best modality of comprehensive therapy in elderly patients with squamous cell lung cancer.
