英语学界对《水浒传》基本结构原则之研究

The Studies on the Basic Structural Principle of Outlaws of the Marsh among English Academia

对《水浒传》的基本结构原则,英语学界的批评者浦安迪与吴德安等人对之进行了全面而深入的探讨。此两位研究者提出,《水浒传》的基本结构原则主要体现在三个层面:在时空叙事层面,通过时空布局构筑小说结构;在人物叙事功能层面,通过"形象叠用原则""人物配对原则"与"人物拆分原则"构筑小说结构;在故事情节发展层面,通过平衡对称原则构筑小说结构。通过总结英语学界对《水浒传》结构原则的认识与研究,希冀为国内学者提供他者视角的参照和借鉴,以推动我国水浒研究的进一步发展。

As for the basic structural principle of Outlaws of the Marsh, Swihart De-an Wu and Adrew H. Plaks, two famous English critics,have made a thorough and complete research in that respect. They point out that the basic structural principle of Out-laws of the Marsh is embodied in three aspects. One is to construct the novel through the disposition of time and space; second, through the principle of figural recurrence, the principle of paired characters and the principle of refraction of characters; third, through the principle of poise and symmetry.
