览圣曲阜之孟母林

孟母林,是亚圣孟轲父母及部分后裔的家庭墓地,也是自战国延续至今的一处人造园林,位于曲阜城南13公里处的＂孟子故里＂凫村东侧的马鞍山麓。林墓区的西部连接两个山头,形似马鞍,故名＂马鞍山＂。林在山岗,山在林中,柏、桧、楷、槲等古树蓊郁葱茏。孟母林占地面积721.62亩,有各种树木1万余株,宋、元、明、清碑刻近600通。孟子的母亲仉氏,鲁国人。孟子之所以能成为中国古代著名的思想家和教育家,

The Forest of Mencius' Mother,the family cemetery of the parents of Mencius,the second sage after Confucius,and some of his descendants,as well as an artificial landscape that has lasted ever since the Warring States Period,is located in the foothills of Ma'an Mountain,which is regarded as the 'homeland of Mencius',13 km to the south of Qufu city.On the west of the cemetery zone stand two peaks that form Ma'an Mountain,which resemble the shape of a saddle.The Forest of Mencius' Mother covers an area of 721.62 acres,with more than10 thousand trees of all types,and 600 steles of the Song,Yuan.Ming and Cling Dynasties.The story of Mencius' mother has had a widespread impact in the history not only of the Meng family but more importantly on all social classes of all dynasties.She is a woman who won the respect and promotion of rulers in Chinese history.
