With the development of digital technologies in modem times, crowdsourcing translation emerges accordingly and soon penetrates into diverse translation fields. It cannot be denied that crowdsourcing translation as a common phenomenon stimulated by technical progress, on the one hand, exerts great social influences and social effects ; on the other hand, it en- counters a number of criticisms. As a matter of fact, the explorations into crowdsourcing translation in the digital age can pro- mate the social acknowledgement of muhilingualism, translation socialization and translation industrialization. Meanwhile, it can update people＇ s understandings of translation action, translation profession and the definition of translation as well.
