“脾不主时”与“脾主长夏”的内涵及发展

Connotation and Development of “Spleen not Taking Charge of a Certain Season ” and “Spleen Taking Charge of Later Summer”

"脾不主时"和"脾主长夏"是中医对脾与季节关系认识的两个观点。"脾不主时"的本质是指脾不独主于一时,寄旺于四时之中而长养四脏,为后天之本,而"脾主长夏"本质则指脾与长夏之湿关系密切,长夏多脾病。虽内涵不同,但二者并不矛盾,在中医临床应用中相辅相成,发挥着重要的指导作用。研究其理论发展,可更好地推动脾胃学说的发展。

＂Spleen not taking charge of a certain season＂and ＂spleen taking charge of later summer＂are two opinions of understanding the relationship between spleen and four seasons in Chinese medicine. The essence of＂spleen not taking charge of a certain season＂refers to spleen being nourished in four seasons,spleen nourishing other four Zang viscera,as well as spleen being acquired foundation. While the essence of ＂spleen taking charge of later summer＂refers to that spleen has close relationship with dampness in later summer. In later summer,spleen diseases are common. The connotations of these two opinions are different,but they are not contradictory,which complement each other in Chinese medical clinic application and play important guiding roles. Researching the theoretical development may promote the development of spleen-stomach theory.
