周有光先生对新中国语文现代化发展的贡献与展望

Mr Zhou Youguang's Contribution and Prospect to Chinese Modernization Development of the People's Republic of China

周先生是中国语文现代化理论的奠基人与倡导者,为中国语文现代化发展作出了重大贡献,并对中国语文现代化的未来作出了展望。其贡献主要有:汉语拼音方案的研制、推广和应用;现代汉字的整理与"现代汉字学"构想;中文信息处理的双轨制;重视语文发展与社会发展的关系。同时,其对新中国语文现代化的未来展望是:普及国家共同语,提升汉语的国际地位;推进"国内双语言"和"国际双语言";展望21世纪的华语、华文的变化趋势。

Mr. Zhou is the founder and pioneer of the theory of Chinese Modernization, contributing his half a lifetime to the Chinese research. His contribution includes： development, promotion and application of Chinese pinyin scheme; the sorting of modem Chinese characters and idea of ＂modem Chinese graphological＂; dual-track approach of Chinese information processing; pay- ing attention to the relationships between language development and social development. At the same time, his future prospects are： popularizing national common language, enhancing the in- ternational status of Chinese language; promoting the ＂domestic double language＂ and ＂interna- tional double language＂; looking forward to the change trend of Chinese language in the 21st century.
