南阳是南水北调中线工程的水源地 ,南水北调中线工程的实施 ,可以从根本上解决南阳受水城市与农业用水之间的紧张矛盾 ,加快南阳水利建设步伐 ,控制水土流失 ,为库区及沿线灌区移民营造良好的生存、生态环境 ,实现区域水资源优化配置 。

As a source of water irrigating works from south to nor th in china,Nanyang is also a receive region of water in the center line project .So,with the project is being put into effect,it will not only solve a contradic tion between agriculture and people living,promote or accelerate the further dev elopment of Nanyang irrigation works,but also will benefit the good distribution of water resources in this region,control soil erosion,build a good life and ec ological environment,and ensure the continued developing of Nanyang economy and society.
