Culture spreading is the duty of colleges and universities, and education spirit, as the core of teacher education, plays a crucial role in running a teacher college of distinctive features. The education concept and behavioral principles of Luoyang Tai Xue in Eastern Han Dynasty imply such education spirit as ＂Upright Moral Integrity, Pure Personality, Wise Learning, Knowledge-and-Virtue Teaching＂, which has formed the excellent edu- cation traditions along with the development of Luoyang Normal University. Its education principles as ＂Devotion and Model＂ present the features of running teacher colleges and exhibit a profound education culture. The formation of education spirit, the building of education concept, and the development of education culture, will produce an everlasting influence on modern teacher education and also higher education.
