On Song Yuren's View of Traffic

交通问题是中国近代化过程中亟需解决的重要问题。近代维新派杰出人士宋育仁对此高度关注,他认识到了发展交通对于国富民强的重要意义,提出了发展交通的具体举措,包括改进地面交通工具、平治道路、整顿船政、兴建铁路等,对近代交通业的发展作出了一定贡献。

The traffic is an important problem needed to be solved in Chinese modernization process. As a reformist in modem history, Song Yuren paid high attention to this issue, he realized the development of transportation having the significance to prosperity, therefore,he put forward the specific measures to the development of traffic,such as improving the performance of vehicle, repairing the road, rectifying ship administration, developing railway, which made a contribution to the development of modem traffic industry.
