摘要
本文基于修正分级模型(RHM),试图通过不同种类字幕呈现方式(英文字幕、中文字幕、中英文双语)的视频输入,探查形式表征形式对词汇习得的影响。通过视频加不同字幕的放映形式,本实验对大学英语专业本科随机抽取三个班的学生的词汇习得进行测试。实验数据通过SPSS进行分析,结果表明,呈现方式影响概念表征的形式,进而影响目的语词汇的习得,双语字幕较单一语言字幕的呈现形式,对学习者词汇习得有更加积极的影响。
This study, based on the Revised Hierarchical Model ( RHM), investigates the differential effects of bilingual (L1 + L2) and monolingual (L1 or L2) subtitles on students' vocabulary acquisition. The quasi-experimental study was conducted with three English-major class in a Chinese University. The data is analysed through SPSS. This study further discusses the advantages of bilingual subtitles over monolingual subtitles in word information and concepts and proposes some guidelines of teaching with subtitles in videos for university teachers.
