《法律英语听说》课程多模态信息认知教学模式探索

Application of “The Multimodality-Information-Cognition Teaching and Learning Model” to the Course of Legal English Listening and Speaking

法律英语听、说能力是涉外法律人才必备的两项基本能力,但一直没有受到应有重视,导致学生在从事涉外法律事务时面临看得懂却听不懂、说不出的尴尬局面。本文以广东外语外贸大学《法律英语听说》课程的教学改革实践为依据,以"多模态信息认知教学模式"为理论基础,探索《法律英语听说》课程教学的新思路与新方法。

Listening and speaking skills are two fundamental ones for international legal practitioners. However, little attention has been paid to the improvement of these two skills, which, to some extent, leads to an embarrassing situation where students can read legal documents but cannot communicate orally due to the lack of legal English listening and speaking skills. This paper, taking the teaching reform undertaken in Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, intends to explore the application of ＂The Multimodality-Information-Cognition Teaching and Learning Model＂ to the teaching of legal English listening and speaking.
