Numerous brands of baby diapers, adult protective underwear and sanitary napkins are flooding the markets all over the world. The wide usage of these products hails attention regarding the production and mechanism behind these items. The material that works magically behind these products is superabsorbent polymer or SAP. Several properties, uses and synthesis of SAP were taken into account in detail and its effects on the environment were also outlined.
