翻译场域视角下的鲁迅小说蓝译文本建构

Target Text Construction in View of Translation Field:Lovell's Version of Lu Xun's Stories

从翻译场域视角看,翻译文本建构是翻译规范与译者惯习双重影响制约下的产物。蓝诗玲翻译的鲁迅小说,凸显了翻译文本建构的社会性与译者主体性。蓝诗玲在文本选择与翻译策略选取上遵循目标语翻译规范,采取"忠实性再创造"翻译方法,维护并巩固现有的文学场域力量格局,增加自身文化资本,在场域斗争中占据有利位置。社会化过程中内化而成的译者惯习使她在语词与句式处理层面上偏离主流规范,以直译或异化法传递中国文学特质与文化特征,凸显中国文学经典对英美文学文化的干预。

Target text construction is a product of impacts of translation norms and the translator’s habitus fromthe perspective of translation field. The translation of Lu Xun,s fiction by Julia Lovell reflects the sociality andtranslator’s subjectivity of target text construction. Lovell follows the target translation norms in selecting textsand applying translation strategies. Her approach of faithful recreation helps maintain and strengthen theexisting power of the literary field, increase her cultural strength and obtain for her a favorable position in thecompetitive literary field. At the same time, her internalized habitus as a mature translator deviates her from themainstream in dealing with culture-loaded words and lines, favoring foreignization in conveying the Chinesecultural and literary features as an influence to the literature and cultures of the English world.
