A STUDY ON THE MONOTONICITY FEATURES OF COMPARATIVE SENTENCES——TAKING THE COMPARATIVE CONSTRUCTION OF “YI + N +BI/BURU +YI+ N+AP” AS AN EXAMPLE

单调性作为词类特征在之前的名词和动词的研究中被广泛讨论。文章将以比较结构"一+N+比/不如+一+AP"为例,讨论比较句的单调性,从而论证形容词通过使用语法手段,如量词的使用,也具有单调性特征,给句子结构以语义解释,验证了句法语义相关的语法现象的存在。

Monotonicity is the feature of words, which has been widely discussed in the previous research of noun and verb. This paper discuses the comparative construction of “ Yi ＋N＋ Bi/Buru ＋Yi ＋N ＋ AP” in the perspective of monotonicity in or-der to explain and prove that adjectives also own the property of monotonicity by using grammatical tools like quantifier and try to give semantic explanation for this syntax structure, which reflects the syntax-semantic connected phenomenon in linguistics.
