中巴经济走廊被视作"一带一路"规划的旗舰项目。它能够在短时间内极大地改变巴基斯坦的经济格局,显著改善GDP、贸易、投资、就业、贫困人口等经济基本面,对巴基斯坦有着极为重要的经济意义。同时,它还有助于增加巴基斯坦的外汇储备和提高世界主要评级机构对巴基斯坦经济的评级。中巴经济走廊提升了两国的经济关系,双边贸易量和来自中国的直接投资也呈现上升趋势,中国已经成为巴基斯坦最大的投资来源国。中巴经济走廊还创造了新的就业机会,帮助巴基斯坦减少了贫困人口数量。最后,随着巴基斯坦与周边国家互联互通条件的改善,巴基斯坦的区域内贸易也正不断增长。

The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor （ CPEC ） is the flagship project of the One Belt One Road （OBOR） . The CPEC has great significance for the economy of Pakistan and it is drastically transfor-ming the economic landscape within short span of time. The existing economic fundamentals such as the Gross Domestic Product （ GDP ）, trad e, investment, employment,and poverty, inter alia , significantly im-proved. The positive impact of the CPEC on the foreign reserves of Pakistan could also been seen together with the positive rating of the economy by the leading global rating agencies. The CPEC has also been im-pacting upon the bilateral economic relations between Pakistan and China. The bilateral trade has seen an upward trajectory. So are Chinese Foreign Direct Investment （FDI） in Pakistan where China has been e-merging as the largest FDI partner of Pakistan. New jobs are being created, which is also helping in poverty alleviation. Pakistan’s regional trade is also showing positive trends as road connectivity with a number of countries will be enhanced.
