Comments on the Advancing with the Times of Ideological Liberation in the Revolution of 1911

辛亥革命是一次与时俱进解放思想的革命,其思想解放的与时俱进表现在三个方面:一是革命前为争取独立民主的革命思想的传播和动员,二是革命中和民国初践行民主共和的探索和尝试,三是革命受挫后捍卫民主共和的思想斗争和新探索。辛亥革命思想解放的与时俱进终为黑暗中摸索的中国发现了新的社会前进方向,找到了科学的思想理论武器,成为影响中国近现代社会发展方向和道路的根本转折点。

The Revolution of 1911 is a revolution of ideological liberation advancing with the times, which is showed in the following three aspects： One is the dissemination and mobilization of revolutionary ideas striving for independence and democracy before the revolution. The second is the quest and attempt of the practice of democratic republic during the revolution and the early time of the Republic of China. The third is the ideological struggle and new exploration of defending the democratic republic after the fall of the revolution. The advancing with the times of ideological liberation of the 1911 Revolution finds the new orientation of social progress and the scientific ideological theory weapon for China in the darkness and becomes the fundamental turning point that influences the direction and the route of development of Chi- nese modern society.
