Based on the engineering examples, this paper compares and analyzes four kinds of pile types of engineering pile foundations used for actual project in Baoshan District, Shanghai city from the aspects of cost, soil squeezing effect and construction; and makes a beneficial discussion on the selection of the most suitable pile type.
