The Path Selection of the Strategic Development of Xiongan New Area

中央赋予雄安新区“创新驱动引领区”的定位，是对京津冀城市群“全国创新驱动经济增长新引擎”总体定位的一个重要支撑。雄安新区承担着新科技革命背景下的国家创新使命，是中国由大国迈向强国的重要创新支点。京津冀地区要实现世界级城市群的总体目标，必须建设和完善雄安新区创新体系，形成一个集中、高效、全球化的创新空间载体。

The construction and development of Xiongan New Area should implement a new concept of development. During the construction of this new area, the relationship between the government and market must be effectively handled. The sus- tainable development of the new area must observe the rules of market economy. Xiongan New Area must play an effective role in the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region should promote green development and innovation with the help of the construction and rise of Xiongan. The development of Xiongan must follow the double-engine model, laying equal stress on both the ＂blood transfusion＂ path by pooling non-capital functions, and the ＂ blood creation＂ path by regional self-growth.
