In the “July 1” speech, Xi Jinping, the General Secretary of the People , s Republic of China, proposed the Chinese approach to build a better system for human beings, which attracts worldwide attention. Through analysis of its connotation and charac-teristics ,this paper explains its implication, such as the unity of practice and understanding, the unity of traditional factors and new factors, the unity of goals of certainty and diversity means for development, the unity of universality and particularity, and so on. It is of great importance for us to fully and accurately grasp the law of social development and promote the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
