The Friends of Moslems the Quarterly Newsletter edited by Claude L. Pickens and published in Hankow during the Re-publican era provides some original sources concerning Hui Muslims in Henan. This paper focuses on the discussion about the religious and cultural resistance against Western missionaries between 1927 and 1944, covering sub-topics such as the general conditions of the Hui in the province, the missionary course in the province, and analyses of some typical cases.
