在现代西方经典政法理论看来,"国体"作为一个原生于东方国家日本的政法概念,其内涵具有多义性,其发挥作用的机制具有复杂性。这是由十九世纪末、二十世纪初日本乃至整个东亚的特殊民族背景和历史背景所决定的。可从现代西方经典政法理论的视角对"国体"概念进行观照与研究,以揭示"国体"概念的核心内涵及其在特定历史条件下发挥作用的机制。

From the perspective of classical modern western political - legal theories, Kokutai , which originated from Japan, a typical eastern nation, is of multi - meaning, and the mechanism is also complicated. This was resulted by the special national and historical background of Japan or even the whole east Asia during the late 19th century and the early 20th century. This study tried to research the concept of Kokutai from the perspective of classical modern western political - legal theories, so as to shed light on the core mean-ings of Kokutai and the mechanism of Kokutai under certain historical conditions.
