This paper described the status and problems of electrocardiogram （ECG） examination in our hospital, analyzed the disadvantages of the single mode ECG examination, which could not adapt to the construction of clinical information. In this paper, the significance and the ability to solve the specific problems of ECG information system in our hospital were expounded, the constitution and characteristics of the ECG information system were introduced, including the hardware and software system, the network structure and the working process and the specific characteristics, the problems and solutions in the operation of the system were also introduced. At last, the paper summarized the good effect of the system＇s establishment and application, and tried to explore the direction of the development of the system.
