Since the 1990s, Chinese poets' translations of western poetry have directly influenced their own writing. Translation propels female consciousness and theoretical awareness of female poetry. As a female poetry journal with a clear view of poetry, Ji has published a lot of translated works. Zhou Zan's translation and writing typically reflects the intertextual relations between translation and writing. In the Chinese version of Atwood's Eating Fire translated by Zhou Zan, she is deeply influ- enced by the author's simplicity, and her own voices and linguistic features are presented too. Trans- lation has an underpinning effect on the writing, making poets fulfill the valuable exploration of Chi- nese poetry possible.
