Intercultural communication competence is a key characteristic of international talents,and cultural empathy competence plays an important role in developing intercultural communication competence. It is suggested that the connotation of cultural empathy could be developed based on the connotation of intercultural communication. The cultivation of cultural empathy involves some principles and a multiple-channel training mode can help to achieve effective intercultural communication by seeking the common ground while reserving differences.
