An Algorithm for Prohibitory Traffic Sign Extraction Based on Improved Hough Transformation

交通禁令标志提取是实景地图生产中一项重要任务。绝大部分和常用的禁令标志是圆形标志，因此，圆检测是交通禁令标志提取的主要内容。目前，Hough变换圆检测算法已经非常成熟，但是，当交通禁令标志存在粘连情况时，则不能完成有效提取。本文提出一种Hough变换圆检测的改进算法，很好地完成了粘连情况下的交通禁令标志提取。

Extraction of prohibitory traffic signs is an important step in live map production. Since most of the prohibitory signs are circular, circle detection becomes the major job of extraction. Nowadays, the circle detection algorithm based on Hough transformation is mature, but not effective in dealing with adjoining signs. Therefore, a circle detection algorithm based on im- proved Hough transformation is proposed in this paper, and it is effective to solve the problem.
