摘要
2015年5月,我们在中国矿业大学非英语专业本科生中进行了匿名问卷调查,以期发现调查对象的四级成绩和他们对英美文学文化知识掌握情况之间的关系,了解他们对大学英语工具性和人文性关系的看法。调查结果显示,调查对象对英美文学文化知识的掌握情况与他们的四级成绩呈正相关性:他们对英美文学文化的知识了解越多,他们的四级成绩也越高,反之亦然。但是如果调查对象的四级成绩低于425分,四级成绩和他们对英美文学文化知识的了解不存在显著相关。大多数调查对象都认为大学英语是一门兼具工具性和人文性的课程。
Based on an anonymous questionnaire among non-English major undergraduates of China University of Mining and Technology in May 2015,it is expected to probe into the relationship between their CET-4scores and mastery of British and American cultural knowledge and find out their views on the instrumentality and humanity of college English.It shows that there is a positive correlation between the two,i.e.the more they know about British and American culture,the higher their scores in CET-4are and vice versa.However,if their CET-4score is lower than 425,this positive correlation does not exist.Most of the subjects agree that instrumentality and humanity should be combined in college English.
