迁移理论视域下粤语对英语语音语调学习的影响及对策

Research on Influences of Cantonese on English Pronunciation and Intonation Study and Countermeasures from the Perspective of Language Transfer Theory

运用语言迁移理论研究粤语对英语语音学学习的迁移影响发现:粤语拼读对英语连读、粤语声调对英语语调、两种语言中类似音素对英语语音学习具有正迁移影响。而粤语的音素发音包括辅音和元音问题,粤语的吞音问题包括单词尾音的吞音、辅音组合或双元音中的吞音和失去爆破的错误发音导致的吞音,以及中式英语重读模式都对英语语音学习具有负迁移影响。因此,必须根据粤语对英语语音学习的正负迁移影响,通过有效途径和策略改进粤语方言区英语语音学习的质量和效果。

Using language-transferring theory to study the influence of Cantonese on English pronunciation and intonation,the research finds that: Cantonese phonics and Cantonese tone exert positive influences on the study of English liaison and the English intonation respectively. What's more,the similar phonemes in both languages can also demonstrate positive transfer in English study. But more negative transfers can be found in the research when compare the two languages,such as negative transfer in the pronunciation of vowels and consonants,sounds-missing including the missing of the ending sounds,the missing in consonants clusters and in the diphthongs.Finally,the Chinglish accent model also has a negative impact on English accent study. Therefore,effective measures must be taken to improve the quality and efficiency of the English pronunciation and intonation study in Cantonese dialect areas on the basis of the transferring influence.
