道德教育必须坚守教育性

Moral Education is to Cultivate Virtues and Humanity

道德教育首先必须是教育。道德教育的娱乐化、功利化、仪式化、政治化和强制化等发展倾向正使道德教育愈来愈远离教育。目前对道德教育的反思往往忽略对道德教育教育性的思考。道德教育的教育性意味着必须思考何为一种真正的教育;意味着必须区分教育行为与非教育行为;意味着从教育的角度投入到学生的道德养成之中;意味着道德教育需要与完整的教育结合起来,通过一种更为完整的教育发展个人的德性。坚守道德教育的教育性,就是要促进道德教育回归到教育的本真,让道德教育成为一种真正的教育。

Nowadays moral education has often been turned into a means to seek happiness or maximize utility,or a tool for ritual practice or political propaganda. However,genuine moral education is to enlighten students,cultivating moral virtues among them and developing them into 'the whole person'. Only when moral education addresses the fundamental issue of cultivating humanity would it become a real and enlightening education for us.
