摘要
基于近十年来CSSCI来源期刊对《高等教育不能回避历史》的引用情况分析发现,2006年出现小高峰后慢慢回落,2014年则直线衰退。此现象出现的原因主要在于我国高校大力发展时期希望借鉴国外高等教育的经验,致使引用迅速攀升;而原著的误读造成了高等教育的困境,如对民族主义和普遍主义的误读,致使大学强调为民族利益服务而忽视了大学追求真理的最终目的;对大众化高等教育的误读导致高等教育重视平等而忽视了优秀,威胁精英教育;对分层教育的误读造成各部分功能混乱,资源浪费等。误读来源于译者的偏差,读者的历史视域、文化解读和断章取义。重读经典需面对文本本身,结合教育的"生活世界"进行诠释,为高等教育的"双一流"建设提供参考。
The present paper is a bibliometric research on the citation of Clark Kerr's 'Higher Education Cannot Escape History'( 1990) in articles included in 'Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index'( CSSCI) database( 2002-2015). The results show that Kerr's book was cited a lot in the early years,reaching its peak in the year 2006,but became less popular later and almost totally forgotten after 2014. The rising popularity of Kerr's book coincided with the massification of higher education in China,when experiences and lessons from abroad were much needed and warmly welcomed. However,mistranslation and misinterpretation of Kerr's book also led to negative impacts on the development of higher education in China. For instance,Kerr was thought to be a nationalist and universalist,encouraging universities to serve their country rather than pursue pure sciences. He was also misunderstood as an egalitarian rather than an elitist,advocating meritocracy instead of mediocrity. His ideas of a tracking system for higher education was misinterpreted too and even led to chaos and confusion in the development of higher education in China. To better understand Western education theories,it is necessary for us to guard against misinterpretation or misuse as mentioned above. Instead,we should read the original text carefully and take into consideration the larger context of a 'life-world'in education at the same time.
