The so-called Tangut translations from Chinese refer in particular to the Chinese secular books which were translated into Tangut. This kind ofmanuscr/pts not only possesses the big meaning to Tangut translation and commentary, but also possesses a very high value of philology. I .The original appearance of Chinese ancient books can be reflected by them, which provides new clues and inspirations for us to explore the formation process of existing editions in Tang and Song dynasties. II .As the collating informa- tions, the Tan^ut translations from Chinese can correct some errors in the existing editions.
