Analysis of Influences on Heihe's Economy and Culture by Chinese Travelers in Russia in the Late Qing Dynasty and Early Republic of China

清末民初,旅俄华侨在俄罗斯远东地区务工、经商,赚取一定钱财后便归国返乡。黑河与俄罗斯阿穆尔州布拉戈维申斯克市隔江相望,是赴俄重要通道,旅俄华侨归国后大多选择在中俄边境黑河地区留居,修盖房屋,投资建厂,扩大对俄经济贸易,推动黑河地区的经济发展建设,对当地经济文化产生深远的影响。

In the late Qing dynasty and early republic of China, Chinese travelers in Russia returned to home country after earning some fortune by doing working or business in the Russia Far East. The city of Heihe borders across the river with Blagoveshchensk city in Russian Armur state, serving as an important channel to Russia. After Chinese travelers in Russia returned to home country, most of them chose to living in Heihe along the border areas between China and Russia and made investment by building houses and setting up factories. They thus have a profound impact on the local economy and culture in terms of expanding Russian economy and trade as well as impelling the construction of economic development in Heihe region.
